‘Tougher’: PSG star praises Al-Nassr following 0-0 draw

PSG and Al-Nassr played out a 0-0 draw on Tuesday, in Saudi Arabia in a game which saw PSG struggle.

The two sides faced off in a pre-season fixture with megastars meeting on both sides, the Legendary Crisitano Ronaldo faced off against strong ex-Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar.

There was some debuts as well, with Alex Telles coming off the bench along with Seko Fofana starting in midfield next to Marcelo Brozovic.

Ultimately, holding PSG to a scoreless draw is a good sign for the Al-Nassr chiefs as they see the team they are building has the talent.

PSG also considered the challenge touch as post game they made reference to the game being tough and physical.

Pereira praises Al-Nassr for tough game

Speaking post game, as reported on the PSG official website, Danilo Pereira said:

“I think this game was an upgrade on the previous game against Le Havre. It was a tougher, more physical game.”

He added, “Unfortunately we couldn’t score but it was still a good game.”

Clearly he was shocked by the intensity in which the club operated however admitted that his teammates struggled with the heat saying:

“The conditions were very hot but we played well.” This sentiment was shared by Luis Enrique.

Enrique discussed the harsh weather conditions that he had to play in and referred to the tie as important.

“The match was played in very humid conditions. It’s difficult for the players to get into a rhythm and get into the game, but I liked the team.

“The players’ fitness levels are improving. Now we have to continue to improve certain things tactically.”

This will have been a game that Al-Nassr learned a lot from about their ever evolving side.

Next for the Saudi side is Inter Milan tomorrow morning, before they kick off the Arab Club Champions Cup on Friday.
