Speaking on the Sky Sports Premier League YouTube channel, Mark Noble has claimed that Vladimir Coufal is almost as tough as Tomas Soucek.
The Hammers skipper was playing a game of True or False, and one of the statements that cropped up was ‘Tomas Soucek is the toughest player at West Ham’.
Noble agreed that Soucek was the hardest player in the team, but he says that his Czech Republic compatriot runs him close.
“I think his friend is pretty tough, Vlad is a tough boy too, but I’ve got to say true,” Noble said.
The question then turned to Soucek, with the midfielder being asked who was tougher between himself and Coufal.
“I have to say me,” Soucek said.
We certainly wouldn’t want to mess with Soucek.
To be fair, West Ham’s side if packed full of players we wouldn’t want to go into a 50-50 challenge with. The likes of Michail Antonio, Declan Rice, Craig Dawson and Angelo Ogbonna all look as though they can handle themselves on the pitch.
Noble says that Soucek is the toughest and Coufal isn’t far behind, so we’ll have to take his word for it, but we can imagine there are one or two West Ham players with something to say about that.
