Tottenham Hotspur’s Eric Dier has told the Guardian that he was not happy about Brighton & Hove Albion showing the injury to Hugo Lloris on the big screen on Saturday.

Spurs were beaten 3-0 by Brighton in their last match, and a terrible injury to Lloris early on seemed to rock Mauricio Pochettino men.

Lloris had to be taken off after landing horribly on his arm, as Brighton scored their first goal.

And Dier admits that he doesn’t know why Brighton felt the need to broadcast the first goal to the stadium, as Spurs’s players all saw how severe the injury was.

“They showed it, I’m not quite sure why – so we saw,” he said.

Lloris, thankfully, avoided a break of the arm, but he is still set for a lengthy lay off.

Tottenham will now have to make do with Paulo Gazzaniga in goal for the foreseeable future, as they look to turn their season around.

Spurs have made an awful opening to the campaign, and their performances unfortunately show very little sign of improving.

Tottenham are next in action after the international break, when they take on Watford.
