The Tottenham Hotspur winger is already impressing.
For a long time this summer Tottenham Hotspur fans were left wondering if Georges-Kevin N’Koudou would ever complete his move to White Hart Lane.
The young winger had long been tipped to join Mauricio Pochettino’s squad, even being photographed at their training ground, but the longer an official announcement was delayed, the more confusing things became.
Thankfully for both the player and his new club, N’Koudou was ultimately confirmed as a Tottenham player in the final throes of the summer transfer window, and on the early evidence the wait was certainly worth it.
N’Koudou made his third substitute appearance for Tottenham in their Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow on Tuesday evening, and the 21-year-old did not look out of place.
In fact, N’Koudou’s arrival ultimately changed the game, adding the verve and additional energy required to break down a resilient CSKA defence.
It was the in-form Heung-min Son who scored Tottenham’s goal, but N’Koudou added pace to the visitors’ attacks and gave them something different at a vital time in the match.
It may have taken Tottenham a while to get the deal over the line, but now it is done it looks like being a wonderful piece of business that could benefit them for years to come.
