Just a few weeks after his move from Newcastle United, new Spurs signing Moussa Sissoko has admitted that he doesn’t know when he’ll be at peak condition ahead of tonight’s Champions League clash with Monaco.

As reported by the Express, he said “I can’t tell you a date when I will be at my peak level, but my fitness is becoming better with every game, and I will work at the training ground to be 100 per cent as soon as possible.”

The Frenchman’s end destination was uncertain on deadline day, and at one point he seemed poised to join Premier League rivals Everton.

Following his decision to join Spurs, he stated that he made the move in order to improve his chances of winning the Premier League.

But now fans will be wondering just when they’ll get to see their multi-million pound signing perform to the best of his abilities and his comments won’t have filled supporters with enthusiasm.

“What qualities can I bring to this team? My power and my strength,” Sissoko continued. “I have a lot of energy. Everyone knows I like to run forward, so maybe this is something I can add.”

Spurs will be hoping that they can utilise Sissoko’s talents sooner rather than later as they prepare for five games in the next fortnight.
