The youngster joined Tottenham Hotspur 10 months ago.
Back in January, Tottenham Hotspur signed 17-year-old midfielder Shilow Tracey from Ebbsfleet United, with fans hoping he was another Dele Alli in the making.
That was always going to be unlikely, such is the former MK Dons player’s innate ability, but how is Tracey getting on since his move, and does he have what it takes to one day break into Tottenham’s senior side?
After initially featuring for Spurs’ under-18 side Tracey made the step up to the under-21s, for whom he has made five appearances so far this season.
After featuring from the bench in matches against Everton and Reading, the teenager started three consecutive games against Chelsea, Liverpool and Southampton, but he was unable to prevent three straight defeats.
He fared slightly better in the UEFA Youth League, coming on against CSKA Moscow and setting up a goal in a 3-2 loss, but what is most obvious about Tracey thus far is his lack of technical ability and end product.
He has pace and power in abundance and has the habit of either bustling opponents out of the way or knocking the ball past them and surging forward, yet that alone will not be enough for the 18-year-old to do what the likes of Marcus Edwards and Cameron Carter-Vickers have before him.

That is the problem for young players at Tottenham – there are so many standouts that it is easy to get left behind even at such a young age.
Tracey has the ability to bulldoze opponents and at under-18 level that may be enough. However when it comes to the Premier League, it is not enough to have pace and power, you also need to know how to utilise it effectively.
He has time to learn the key skills, but on early evidence he has a long way to go.
