Tottenham Hotspur teenager Samuel Shashoua scored twice at the weekend as the under-18s recorded a 4-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.
Shashoua’s goals were both eye catching strikes, with one coming from a free-kick.
The 17-year-old was praised after the game by the club’s head of development John McDermott, who told Tottenham’s official website: “I was pleased with Samuel. He’s got undoubted quality and when he applies himself like he did today he looks a very good player.
“He’s worked on those finishes, he worked on those free-kicks yesterday so that’s not luck today, that’s the product of hard work. There are other aspects of his game that he now needs to add to in order to hopefully make the next step.”

That next step would mean progression to the under-23s, to follow the way his peer Marcus Edwards has been fast tracked.
Edwards even made his first team debut earlier this season, making a cameo appearance off the bench in the EFL Cup last month.

Shashoua is an England under-17 international, who has four goals in 12 appearances for his country at youth level.
He has also scored once in his three appearances in the under-19s UEFA Youth League this season.
He plays as an attacking midfielder in a similar role to Christian Eriksen, and is a player to keep a close eye on as his career progresses.
