Tottenham Hotspur’s reported interest in Milan Skriniar could affect Liverpool’s alleged quest to sign Ozan Kabak.

Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Milan Skriniar

According to Gianlucadimarzio.com, Tottenham are interested in signing Skriniar from Inter Milan in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that talks between Tottenham and Inter over the transfer of the 25-year-old central defender are going on.

Competition for Liverpool?

This has led the Italian club to look at potential replacements for the Slovakia international, and the Nerazzurri have identified Kabak as a player who would be ‘a significant investment for the future’, according to the report

This means that Liverpool are now facing competition from Inter for the 20-year-old Turkey international centre-back.

Well-respected journalist Chris Williams recently claimed on Twitter that Schalke have been approached from Liverpool for the 20-year-old.

Transfermarkt.us also reported on the same day (September 18, 2020) that Liverpool are looking to sign the youngster from Schalke.

Positive for Tottenham Hotspur, blow for Liverpool?

While Skriniar would be a good signing for Tottenham and would make the North London club better at the back, Inter’s reported interest in Kabak means that Liverpool could miss out on a very talented player who could be a star in the coming years.
