Everton are reportedly interested in signing the Tottenham Hotspur full-back.

According to a report from Spanish media outlet AS, Tottenham are interested in signing Barcelona ace Jordi Alba this summer, and that could open the door for Everton to swoop in for Danny Rose.
The Toffees are keen on signing the 27-year-old this summer, according to the Sun, and are prepared to part with £40 million in order to secure his services.

If Tottenham do go on to sign Alba, Rose could very well be made surplus to requirements in north London, making Everton’s task of tempting him into a switch to Goodison Park that little bit easier.

The 18-capped England international would be an excellent addition to Marco Silva’s squad, and he would be an undoubted upgrade upon the ageing Leighton Baines.
Rose is arguably one of the best attacking full-backs in world football, and his arrival at Everton would provide the Blues with a much needed injection of pace and energy down the left hand flank.

Whilst £40 million for the Tottenham man seems like a lot of money on the face of it, it would actually represent decent value for the Merseyside outfit in today’s market, and with Spurs’ reported interest in Alba, there will never be a better opportunity for Silva to bring him to Goodison Park.
