Tottenham Hotspur’s reported interest in Diego Perotti has implications for Lucas Moura.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Diego Perotti.
The Italian outlet claims that Spurs and a number of Spanish clubs are keen on signing the Roma winger, who turns 30 next month.
If true, could it indicate that Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has lost a bit of faith in Lucas Moura?

Lucas and Perotti play in the same position and it seems illogical that Pochettino would want the Argentine winger if he was convinced about the former Paris Saint-Germain ace, who cost £25 million [The Telegraph].

The Brazilian has only been in North London for six months but hardly enhanced his reputation during that time, scoring once in 11 games across all competitions – in an FA Cup draw with Rochdale.
And if Pochettino was confident of a resurgence then would he really be interested in Perotti?
Of course, the Tottenham boss may not even be interested in his compatriot, and perhaps it’s just paper talk, but if it’s not then you do wonder if he is less confident about Lucas now than he was in January.
