There is still work to do for Tottenham’s Davinson Sanchez, with Arsenal’s Koscielny still superior.
Tottenham Hotspur splashed out a record fee to sign Davinson Sanchez in the summer from Ajax.
The Colombian has made an instant impact at Spurs, playing in the last four league games.
He has made the same number of starts as Arsenal’s key defender Laurent Koscielny, and from a statistical point of view, Sanchez’s performances stand up well.
Koscielny has won substantially more interceptions, more aerial duels and blocked more shots, but Sanchez has been superior in other areas.

It has been an encouraging start for Sanchez, who has also looked good in Champions League action for his new side.
Both sides dropped points early on but have rallied, and just one point separates the two teams in third and fifth place, with Tottenham currently sitting higher.
Sanchez already looks like money well spent, even if there is more work to do in terms of reading the game and making interceptions at the prolific rate which Arsenal’s Koscielny does.
