Tottenham play against Fulham on Wednesday night despite the fact this fixture wasn’t due to be played this week.

Indeed, the London outfit were due to play Aston Villa this week, but due to a coronavirus outbreak within Dean Smith’s squad, there has been something of a rejig of the calendar.

Much to Scott Parker’s disapproval, Fulham have been thrust into action against Spurs, and even though the Cottagers are in the relegation zone, this could be a tricky match to navigate.

Indeed, Fulham haven’t conceded a goal from open play in over a month now, and they could be a tough nut to crack for Spurs.

Of course, Tottenham will be hoping that they can come through this with a win, but if they are to do that, Jose Mourinho needs to get his team selection right.

With that in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting Tottenham’s starting XI for this one.

Tottenham's predicted XI vs Fulham

Unsurprisingly, we expect this to be a very different side to the one that started against Marine at the weekend.

In fact, we think Mourinho will make a massive 10 changes to his side here, with Toby Alderweireld the only man remaining from the side that started in the FA Cup.

We predict Tottenham will line-up with a similar XI to the one we saw in their last league game against Leeds, but there are a couple of changes at the back.

Indeed, Sergio Reguilon comes in for Ben Davies, while Serge Aurier comes in for Matt Doherty who was sent off against Leeds.

The midfield and attack remains the same as it did vs Marcelo Bielsa’s side, with Harry Winks getting another start ahead of Mousa Sissoko who may be rested after playing against Marine.

There’s no room for Giovani Lo Celso in the side after Jose Mourinho confirmed he is injured.

This game could be tricky against Fulham, so we expect Tottenham to play a strong side.
