Tottenham got back to winning ways over the weekend, getting the better of West Brom in a 2-0 win, and they will be hoping to continue their good form in the FA Cup against Everton on Wednesday.

Spurs’ success this term may well be judged on their performances in the cups, and after reaching the Carabao Cup final, they will now be aiming to put a run together in the world’s oldest knockout competition.

Tottenham face a much tougher task than they had in the last round where they played against Marine, as they face Premier League high-flyers Everton.

It’s by no means an impossible task, but this is bound to be a tight tactical battle between two good sides and two fantastic managers.

As ever in the FA Cup, Jose Mourinho faces the tough task of balancing squad rotation and playing a strong enough side to win, and with that in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting Spurs’ starting XI for this one.

We expect to see a fair bit of rotation for this one, with Mourinho making six changes in our predicted XI.

Joe Hart has been Mourinho’s go-to goalie in the FA Cup this term, so we expect him to start here.

Serge Aurier drops out for Matt Doherty, while Toby Alderweireld gets a rest as Eric Dier comes into a changed back four.

We expect Tottenham to play a strong midfield, with Moussa Sissoko coming back into the side and Tanguy Ndombele moving into the number 10 role.

Heung-min Son starts on the left, while we expect Gareth Bale to come in on the right side.

With Harry Kane only just returning from injury, we don’t think Mourinho will opt to risk his star man here, so Carlos Vinicius gets another opportunity to prove himself in the FA Cup.
