Bragging rights are up for grabs when Tottenham Hotspur take on Arsenal on Sunday.
Tottenham could ring the changes from a defensive standpoint when they take on their bitter rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Since the start of the season, a lot has been made about the players not playing or starting for Spurs rather than those who are in the starting XI.
But with the North London derby against Arsenal only days away, Spurs must put any problems aside and produce the goods against their neighbours.
From a defensive standpoint, Tottenham need to make some changes if they are to keep Arsenal’s forward line quiet at the weekend.
Left-back Danny Rose, centre-back Davinson Sanchez and defensive midfielder Moussa Sissoko could potentially be dropped, and if they are, then Jan Vertonghen, Ben Davies and Tanguy Ndombele need to come into the starting XI to give Spurs their best possible chance of winning.
Added with that, playmaker Christian Eriksen is Tottenham’s best creative player and his presence in the middle not only gets Spurs going, but it brings the best out of those ahead of him.
After he was left on the bench against Newcastle, he could start at the weekend and if he does then Tottenham’s chance of walking away from the Emirates with a positive result will only increase.
Elsewhere, striker Harry Kane is a sure starter given his importance to the club and his record in North London derbies.
Furthermore, it remains to be seen whether Mauricio Pochettino will be looking to drop a Kyle-Walker Peters or any other attack-minded players because Spurs have started the season in an indifferent manner.
