The teenage centre-back is Tottenham’s brightest defensive prospect to come through their academy, and hopes to become a first team star.
He has a queue in front of him, with Cameron Carter-Vickers and Juan Foyth both on the fringes of the first team.
Tanganga has a chance to elevate his profile with international under-19 success, and show why he can become Tottenham’s own Mattijs De Ligt.
De Ligt is a Dutch international already thriving for Ajax’s first team, because he was given a chance.
Now rated at £50 million plus, De Ligt is on his way to becoming one of Europe’s biggest stars, and Football London claimed earlier this year that Tottenham wanted to buy him.
Just like how De Ligt came through Ajax’s academy, Tanganga has been at Spurs since he was 10, and last year starred for England’s under-20s as they won the Toulon tournament.
