The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder could return to the starting XI this evening.
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko has a long way to go before he justifies his price tag, but his performance after coming off the substitutes’ bench against Manchester United on Sunday at least showed a glimpse of his ability.
The French international came on with 33 minutes to play and he immediately set about proving his worth with a series of effective runs to turn United full-back Matteo Darmian in knots.

Sissoko’s engine and work rate have never been in question, and on Sunday he used those to good effect even if he could not alter the score line.
Still, a brief cameo in which to showcase his talent is just the beginning and Sissoko must ensure he continues to impress when he returns to Tottenham’s starting line-up.

That could come this evening against Hull City, with Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino likely to make changes after some of his star names flattered to deceive at Old Trafford.
Sissoko’s impact off the bench could warrant a re-call and if it does he has to show he can perform consistently and not only in patches.
That is, after all, the least you should expect from a £30million player at the peak of his career.
