Tottenham Hotspur’s Mauricio Pochettino has been charged by the FA.

Speaking to a press conference via Football London, Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has apologised to referee Mike Dean.
The Tottenham manager has been charged with improper conduct by the Football Association for angrily confronting Dean immediately after Spurs’ 2-1 defeat at Burnley on Saturday.
Pochettino indicated at the time that he wouldn’t be contesting any punishment handed down by England’s governing body, and that remains the case as the 46-year-old accepts his charge.
“I will accept the charge. Watching on TV my behaviour I need to accept. I need to apologise to Mike Dean, right or wrong how I complain and I cannot complain in that way,” he told a press conference, via Football London.
“I want to apologise to Mike Dean and the people there. It is not the way to behave and I will accept.”
Dean was supposed to be the fourth official in Tottenham’s trip to Chelsea tomorrow, but he has since been replaced.
Pochettino’s frustration stemmed from Dean awarding Burnley a corner that directly led to the Clarets’ opener through Chris Wood, though television replays suggest that it should have been a goal kick for the Lilywhites.
The defeat resulted in third-placed Tottenham ultimately slipping six points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool and giving them an uphill task in regards to winning the title.
The Argentine’s behaviour toward Dean was out of character for a man noted for his calm and composure, though the publicly apology sums up Pochettino’s class.
Even though he had every right to be angry, under the circumstances, the humility to say sorry is one of his many admirable qualities.
