Lucas Moura has asked Erik Lamela on his Instagram story ‘no trophy for the assist?’ after his former teammate won the 2021 FIFA Puskas award for Tottenham.

For the second season running, Tottenham won the prize for the best goal in 2021, after Heung-Min Son’s solo effort against Burnley.

This time, it was Lamela’s rabona goal in the north London derby that picked up the prize and Moura, who provided the assist, sent this brilliant message to his former teammate on his IG story.

“Congratulations my brother,” said Moura. “Very well deserved. No trophy for the assist?” added with laughing emojis.

Perhaps in many, many years to come, it will probably become a quiz question as to who provided the assist for Lamela’s Puskas-winning rabona goal in the north London derby.

Either way, it is pretty impressive for a club to win back-to-back Puskas awards and now for the hat-trick?

Whilst Spurs are in for a challenge to finish in a European place in England’s top-flight, Lamela is pushing for the title in Spain.

Sevilla are five points behind current leaders Real Madrid, but they have a game in hand on Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

They travel to Valencia on Wednesday evening in the hope to close that gap at the top of the table to two points.

But could Lamela become another player to leave Spurs and then lift a trophy? The likes of Christian Eriksen and Kieran Trippier have been the players to do it recently.
