Tottenham Hotspur star Lucas Moura was the hero of the club’s semi-final win over Ajax.

The Brazilian scored a hat-trick in the second half of the second leg to stun the Dutch side.

He told Goal he is adamant he made the right choice to leave PSG for Tottenham.

He was pushed out of the door by former boss Unai Emery, who dropped him from the first team.

Lucas has no bitterness towards his old club.

He said: “This Ajax match is magnificent, it will always be in my heart, it’s like it was yesterday, it was an incredible match, the best game of my career (…) match like this makes me forget all the difficulties that I knew in football.

“I have no regrets, not at all, I’ve had five wonderful seasons there (PSG) where I’ve won a lot of trophies, where I’ve learned a lot, of course the last six months were very difficult, I did not want it to end like that but these are things that I could not control.”

Lucas took a little time to settle at Tottenham, and has gradually been proving a more and more important part of the team.

What he did against Ajax has gone down in history. He now has a chance to become an even bigger hero against Liverpool in the Champions League final, who he scored at Anfield against earlier this season.
