The Tottenham Hotspur star played alongside the West Bromwich Albion boss during their time together at Barnsley.

Tottenham ace Kieran Trippier sat down for an exclusive interview with the club’s official website, and shared his memories from making his debut alongside current West Brom boss Darren Moore, during a loan spell with Barnsley.
The 27-year-old began his career with Manchester City, but spent two separate loan spells with Barnsley, before joining Burnley in the summer of 2012.

Trippier then left Turf Moor for Spurs in the summer of 2015, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £3.5 million, and he has since gone on to establish himself as a first team regular for both club and country.
The England international spoke to the club’s official website about his humble beginnings in the game, and opened up on the moment when he made his debut for Barnsley alongside the Baggies stand-in boss way back in 2010:

“Funnily enough, I made my first team debut next to him when we were at Barnsley. It was in the Championship, Middlesbrough away early in 2010. I was very young, he was at centre-half and he talked to me, screamed at me at times, but you can only learn from that!”
Trippier will meet Moore when his Tottenham side travel to the Hawthorns to take on West Brom on Saturday, and anything other than a West Brom win would see the Black Country outfit relegated down to the Championship.
Spurs are in desperate need of the points themselves, with qualification for next season’s Champions League still not secured, so there should be a thrilling game on display at the Hawthorns on Saturday.
