Tottenham Hotspur have produced plenty of talented youngsters down the years.

Based on HITC Sport’s video above, here is a look at perhaps the strongest XI made up of academy graduates who have come through the ranks at Tottenham Hotspur in recent years…

GK: David Button

David Button spent nearly a decade on Tottenham’s books before joining Charlton in 2012. He made one appearance for Spurs in that time, instead enjoying 13 loan spells. He has since played for Brentford and Fulham.

RB: Stephen Kelly

The right back made his Spurs debut in 2003 and stayed at White Hart Lane until 2006. After spells with Birmingham, Fulham and Reading, he now plays for Championship struggles Rotherham.

CB: Steven Caulker

Caulker joined Tottenham in 2007, and spent six years with the club before joining Cardiff. He joined QPR in 2014 and was, oddly, handed the chance to move up a division and join Southampton and Liverpool on loan.

CB: Cameron Carter-Vickers

Cameron Carter-Vickers is one of the current crop of youngsters trying to put pressure on Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team. He has made a handful of appearances this season, and it would not be a surprise to see him earn plenty more chances in the near future.

LB: Danny Rose

As the video suggests, Danny Rose’s development predominantly took place at Leeds, but he joined Tottenham in 2007 before he had made his professional debut. He is now arguably the finest left-back in the Premier League.

RW: Andros Townsend

After nine loan spells, Andros Townsend started to become more of a fixture in the Spurs side, but left last year having made more than 20 league appearances in a season just once for Spurs. He looked bright at Newcastle last season, and has also done well at current club Crystal Palace.

CM: Jake Livermore

Jake Livermore never quite managed to force his way into the Tottenham side on a regular basis. He joined Hull permanently in 2014 before moving to West Brom in January. His form for the Baggies helped earn him a recall to the England team.

CM: Nabil Bentaleb

Nabil Bentaleb finished his academy career at Tottenham having previously been attached to clubs in France and Belgium. After nearly 50 league appearances for Spurs, he joined Schalke on loan, and the move is set to be made permanent in the near future (via BBC Sport).

LW: Alex Pritchard

Alex Pritchard spent seven years attached to Tottenham before leaving permanently in 2016. His loan spell at Brentford showcased how talented he could be, but he is yet to reach a similar level elsewhere.

ST: Peter Crouch

Peter Crouch spent around five years on Tottenham’s books before becoming something of a Premier League journeyman. His subsequent career has seen him play for the likes of Portsmouth, Aston Villa and Liverpool before a second spell with Spurs. He recently scored his 100th Premier League goal, for current club Stoke.

ST: Harry Kane

Harry Kane has arguably become the yardstick that all Tottenham academy graduates will be judged against. He is well on his way to becoming a Spurs legend, having already scored 68 league goals.
