Tottenham Hotspur were too good for Huddersfield Town yesterday.
Tottenham star Heung-min Son spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s comfortable 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town at Wembley yesterday, and admitted that he and his teammates were sad because they did not score more goals, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The South Korean flyer has been in exceptional form this season, chipping in with 15 goals and nine assists in 41 appearances for Spurs thus far.
The Lilywhites remained in fourth position in the Premier League table after yesterday’s victory, but are now just two points adrift of second placed Liverpool.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have not lost since December 16th, and they are undoubtedly one of Europe’s most in-form teams at the moment.
Son, 25, spoke to reporters after his side’s win at Wembley yesterday, and admitted that he and his teammates would have liked the scoreline to have been more convincing, as quoted by the club’s official website:
“We just enjoyed it. I think we were a bit unlucky, we could have scored many goals. With just two, we feel a bit sad. Of course, we want to score more goals but we are happy to get three points.”
Next up for Tottenham is their huge Champions League clash with Juventus on Wednesday night, before they travel to the south coast to take on Bournemouth in the Premier League on Sunday, and Pochettino’s men will head into the contest full of confidence and verve after their fine recent run of form.
