The Tottenham Hotspur man has received three bookings in this season’s Champions League, ruling him out of the semi-final first-leg.

Tottenham ace Heung-Min Son spoke to reporters after his side’s win over Brighton on Tuesday night, and admitted that he is sad and disappointed to be suspended for the Champions League first-leg semi-final clash with Ajax next week, as quoted by Football.London.
The South Korean forward has been in exceptional form for Spurs this season, racking up an impressive 20 goals and 10 assists in 44 appearances in all competitions thus far.
Son is now widely considered to be one of Mauricio Pochettino’s most important players at Tottenham, and his role has taken on even more gravity during the absence of Harry Kane.
Spurs will have to make do without the 26-year-old against Ajax next week due to suspension, however, and he admitted that he is so sad to be missing out, despite trying to be positive about the situation, as quoted by Football.London:

“Of course I try to be positive but missing this semi-final makes me so sad, so disappointed. I’m a very positive guy, I’m very comfortable with the lads so I’ll probably be more nervous watching in the stands than when I play. But I trust my team, I trust my players, I trust this stadium so I’m not worried about it.”
Son will still surely have a key role to play for Tottenham in their semi-final clash with Ajax, and the South Korea international will just be hoping that his team are still int the tie when they head out to Holland for the second-leg.
