The Tottenham Hotspur youngster has lofty aspirations.
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks has been speaking to the Hertfordshire Mercury about his recent appearances and his need to improve certain facets of his game.
The 20-year-old has been making waves in Tottenham’s academy for a few years now and while he previously enjoyed first-team run-outs, this season has been his breakthrough.

“I still believe I need to score more,” Winks told the Hertfordshire Mercury. “I want to be an all-round midfield player and part of that is scoring goals and getting assists.
“The manager has been putting me into games, which has been brilliant. I’ve been loving it but I need to keep working hard and keep improving.”
Winks scored his first senior goal for Tottenham against West Ham United last month and he has appeared 12 times to date in all competitions this season.

His 90-minute outing against the Hammers showed just what a talent he is, with his composure on the ball and passing ability suggesting White Hart Lane has another young hero destined for big things.
But Winks is right; he is only just starting out and if he can start scoring and assisting on a regular basis Tottenham could have something akin to the Holy Grail in football – the complete midfielder.
