Thee Tottenham Hotspur star was in fine form for England on Monday night.

Tottenham and England striker Harry Kane spoke to reporters in the aftermath of the Three Lion’s 2-1 win over Tunisia on Monday night, and shared what Mauricio Pochettino texted him after his match-winning exploits in Russia, as quoted by the Daily Star.
Kane, 24, enjoyed a wonderfully successful season with Spurs last term, chalking up 41 goals in 48 appearances in all competitions, but he now has to produce the goods for England in Russia, if he is to be classed as a truly world-class striker.

The Tottenham hitman got his World Cup campaign off to a magnificent start, with two goals on Monday night, but it was the importance and timing of his second strike that really highlighted his class.
Kane spoke to reporters following his match-winning display against the African outfit, and shared what Pochettino texted him in the aftermath of the game, as quoted by the Daily Star:

“Poch texted me after the game. He sent lots of love hearts and said: ‘Come on England’. He’s rooting for me. He has lots of lads here. He’s not just my boss, he’s my mate. He wants me and the whole team to do well.”
With five Tottenham players currently involved with the England squad, it is little wonder why Pochettino holds such a vested interest in the Three Lions’ progress this summer.
If Kane continues the form he showed in Monday night, England have every chance of progressing through to the latter stages of the competition, and if they do manage to do that, Pochettino will surely deserve much of the credit.
