Tottenham Hotspur and England hitman Harry Kane has reacted on Twitter after Saturday night’s 2-1 defeat by Spain in Wembley.

Gareth Southgate’s side got their Nations League campaign off to a disappointing start as goals from Saul Niguez and Rodrigo helped overturn a 1-0 deficit following Marcus Rashford’s opener.

Tottenham star Kane did not look at his best, and quite a few fans have reminded the 25-year-old of this in their responses to the striker’s post-match tweet.

The Spurs marksman also endured a quiet end to the World Cup on a personal level, failing to score against Colombia or Croatia in the latter stages of the competition.

He will certainly rediscover his best form eventually, though, and Tottenham fans will be hoping it’s against Liverpool next week.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side resume Premier League duty next weekend by facing the Reds and although Kane has two goals in four league games this season, it isn’t the red-hot form that has seen him blossom into one of the world’s most prolific goalscorers in recent years.
