Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has stated that ‘it’s a pleasure’ playing alongside Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling and Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford for England.

All three players started for England on Saturday, as Gareth Southgate’s side edged closer to booking their place at next summer’s European Championships.

Whilst Rashford didn’t get on the scoresheet, he was a constant threat against the Bulgarian’s, as Kane netted a hat-trick and Sterling scored the other goal of the game.

At club level, Kane would have the likes of Lucas Moura and Heung-Min Son running beyond him with pace and directness. On the international stage, he has Sterling and Rashford, and it is fair to say that he loves it.

“It’s a joy to play with,” Kane told TalkSport. “Sometimes I can drop deep and let them run in behind.

“Sometimes I’ll just stay high and they can use their pace, use their skills, one vs one against the defence and I’ll be there for the crosses and the square balls.

“Raz [Sterling] put one on a plate for me today and then obviously Rash got a great penalty. It’s a pleasure to play with them and all the boys here. We’re all working for the same goal and doing well so far.”

All three players – Rashford, Kane and Sterling – are playing key roles for their club sides once again this season, with Rashford now playing as an out-and-out striker on a regular basis at Old Trafford.

Kane has led the way for England strikers in recent seasons and Rashford will be hoping he can reach the numbers the Spurs man has managed to set.

If he can do that then it’ll bode well for Manchester United’s chances of breaking into the top-four this season, as they have started off the season in an indifferent manner.
