Tottenham Hotspur beat Huddersfield Town 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Tottenham Hotspur made it two wins from two on Saturday afternoon with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Huddersfield Town at the John Smith’s Stadium.
Spurs had picked up two morale-boosting wins over Brighton and Hove Albion and Watford before heading to West Yorkshire, with Mauricio Pochettino seeking another win to truly put the recent poor run behind them.
Many expected Tottenham to coast to victory over a winless Terriers side, and that’s how it panned out thanks to two first half goals from Harry Kane.
The England hitman appears to be getting back to his best, and he headed Spurs into the lead from Kieran Trippier’s cross, before converting from the penalty spot after Danny Rose had been fouled.
Spurs pushed for more goals but settled for a 2-0 win, with a clean sheet also handing Pochettino with a major boost as his side coped at the back despite Jan Vertonghen being substituted with injury at half time.

On came Victor Wanyama to bolster Tottenham’s midfield, with the Kenyan attempting to get back into Pochettino’s side on a regular basis after a host of injury problems over the last year – and he impressed fans on Saturday.
Fans suggested he was ‘very composed’ and ‘looked like his old self’ against Huddersfield, with many now praying that the holding midfielder can stay fit this season and keep Eric Dier out of the Spurs side.
