Heung-Min Son just keeps getting better and better.

The South Korean has just had the season of his career for Tottenham Hotspur. 23 league goals saw him win the Golden Boot, and he can count himself very unlucky that he wasn’t named the Premier League’s Player of the Year.

However, as if that wasn’t enough, Son has now added yet another string to his bow.

Indeed, over this international break, the attacker has scored two absolutely magnificent free-kicks, showcasing a skill that not many knew about up until now.

Son clearly has a remarkable set-piece ability, and it’s about time that Spurs utilised it.

Tottenham Hotspur have seriously struggled to score from these situations over the past couple of years. They’ve netted just one free-kick in the last two seasons as Harry Kane has aimlessly smashed shot after shot into the wall and over the bar.

At one point, Spurs were one of the most potent teams from these situations in England. They topped the free-kicks scored chart back in 2014/15, and remained in and around that area for a number of years.

Of course, Spurs’ free-kick prowess back then was down to one man, Christian Eriksen.

However, since Eriksen’s departure, Tottenham have failed to make the most of their dead-balls, but now, that could all change.

As Son has shown, Tottenham have a player capable of finding the back of the net from free-kicks, and he’s been hiding under their noses for all of this time.

Antonio Conte needs to make sure that Son is taking most free-kicks for Spurs next term.
