With the likes of Danny Rose, Kyle Walker, Harry Kane, Eric Dier and Dele Alli in their ranks there is a whole host of young talent from this country that are leading the way in the Premier League. However, it’s not just domestically that these players can be effective.
The relationship between them, and the latter two especially, is a sign of the brotherhood that we don’t tend to see as often in the modern game. Players are so often cut adrift by social media or a multitude of big personalities in the dressing rooms, with leaves old school defenders and midfielders to wonder what’s happened to the beautiful game.
But all that is flooding back, because it’s not just their ability on the pitch – it’s that they openly want to play for each other. The results week in and week out matter to them more than anything, and Pochettino has formulated a system that allows them to play to their maximum potential.

It captures the imagination of the fans, too. Whether it be during chats at the pub or chants during the game, people are excited about the potential of this team and the English lads in particular. For them to be able to transition that over to the national side, which tends to feature a deep lack of cohesive play, would be huge going forward in international tournaments.
Some may feel that Euro 2016 indicated they would be unable to do so, but experience is a powerful thing in this game.
