The former Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur players exchanged tweets on Monday.

Jamie Carragher has hit back at Graham Roberts after the former Tottenham Hotspur defender encouraged him to discuss an alleged dive by Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football.
Roberts’ Firmino accusation comes just eight days after Tottenham’s Dele Alli was booked for simulation during Spurs’ 2-2 draw against Liverpool.
Alli’s teammate Harry Kane was accused of diving himself by Reds defender Virgil van Dijk afterwards, although Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino appeared to play down the severity of such actions – suggesting that football is about ‘trying to trick your opponent’.

Replying to Roberts’ message on Twitter, Carragher wrote: “What dive??!!!! Spurs diving last week comes from Poch[ettino] he condones it now!!!!”
Roberts later wrote: “Come on Jamie!”
Liverpool and Tottenham resumed their battle at the top of the Premier League table this weekend, with the Reds beating Southampton 2-0 on Sunday to leapfrog Spurs, who had seized third position after their 1-0 north London derby success the previous afternoon.
Tottenham could yet drop out of the top four places, however, with Chelsea – who are two points behind them – playing host to West Bromwich Albion live on Carragher’s show this evening.
