Tottenham Hotspur were too good for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge yesterday.

Tottenham star Dele Alli spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s superb 3-1 win at Chelsea yesterday, and shared how Heung-Min Son annoyed him in the build up to their crucial third goal, as quoted by Sky Sports.

Spurs trailed 1-0 before Christian Eriksen set the wheels in motion for what turned out to be a fantastic comeback, with a fine 30-yard strike just before half-time.

The second-half was Dele’s time to shine, though.

The 21-year-old endured a tough two weeks with England on international duty, having failed to make Gareth Southgate’s starting XI in either of the two games.

He silenced his critics in emphatic fashion at Stamford Bridge yesterday, though, scoring twice for his side as they earned their first win away at Chelsea since 1990.

The former MK Dons man addressed the media after the game, and joked how Son’s greediness in the build up to his side’s third goal annoyed him, as quoted by Sky Sports:

“I was complaining, I was a little bit annoyed that he didn’t, but Sonny is a player who is in really good form so when he goes through you’d back him to score. He kept it alive, and luckily it fell to me.”

In the cold light of day, though, it is hard to criticise the South Korean. He has chalked up 18 goals and nine assists in 44 appearances in all competitions, and has proven to be a vitally important player for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Spurs are now in great shape to finish inside the top four, and head to Stoke City next weekend, knowing that a win could take them up to third in the Premier League table.
