Tottenham’s Dele Alli responds when asked if he has a goals target this season

The Tottenham Hotspur star has become one of the Premier League’s best players.

Spurs ace Dele Alli spoke to reporters after his side’s impressive 2-0 victory over Newcastle United yesterday, and responded to questions asking him whether he has set himself a goal target this season, as quoted by the club’s official website.

The 21-year-old was sensational for Tottenham last season, scoring 18 goals and chipping in with seven assists in 37 Premier League outings, and it will be extremely difficult for him to improve upon those impressive numbers this time around.

If the Lilywhites are to make a sustained push for the Premier League title this term, however, Alli will more than likely have to do just that.

The England international was at his brilliant best for Mauricio Pochettino’s side at St James’ Park yesterday, and spoke to reporters after the game.

He responded to a question asking him whether he has set himself a goals target this season, as quoted by TottenhamHotspur.com:

“I’ll see where I can get myself by the half-way point, see how many goals I can get and then perhaps set myself a target.”

Next up for Tottenham is their first Premier League game at Wembley on Sunday, when they welcome under-fire Chelsea to their temporary home.

And Alli will once again have to be at his very best, if Pochettino’s side are to take all three points and make it the perfect start to their 2017/18 campaign.
