Tottenham Hotspur smashed Inter Milan 6-1 on Friday.

Dele Alli has admitted to Tottenham Hotspur’s official website that he was “a bit rusty” in the 6-1 win over Inter Milan on Friday.
Spurs rounded off their pre-season campaign in pretty emphatic fashion as Mauricio Pochettino’s side destroyed the Italian giants.
Two goals from Harry Kane and Erik Lamela, either side of Ivan Perisic’s equaliser, gave Tottenham a 2-1 half-time lead.

Alli – playing his first game since England’s Euro 2016 exit by Iceland in June – then added a third on 52 minutes, before Kane, new signing Vincent Janssen and youth product Shay Harrison completed the rout in the final half-hour or so.
The 20-year-old midfielder has arguably Spurs’ best player in a 2015-16 campaign which saw him win the PFA Young Player of the Year award, and Alli admits that he still has to get a lot better if his Inter performance is anything to go by.

“I felt a bit rusty out there to be honest! It was good to blow the cobwebs off and get some minutes,” he told Tottenham’s official website.
Alli – and of course Kane, who was also blowing the cobwebs off after being involved with England this summer – will expect to be involved next Saturday as Tottenham visit Everton in their Premier League curtain raiser.
