Tottenham Hotspur boss is widely considered to be one of Europe’s best young managers.

Daniel Levy (R) looks on during the Premier League match between West Bromwich Albion and Tottenham Hotspur at The Hawthorns on October 15, 2016 in West Bromwich, England.

Spurs supremo Daniel Levy raved about the job being done by Mauricio Pochettino, when writing a column for the Daily Mail, and opened up about a special gift that he bought the Argentine, as a reward for his fine performance in charge of the first-team.

Tottenham have gone from strength-to-strength since Pochettino’s appointment as manager in May 2014, with the former Saints boss guiding the Lilywhites to fifth, third and second placed finishes in the Premier League table.

With the relatively small budget that he has to operate with, and stringent wage structure, Pochettino is arguably doing the best job in Europe, pound for pound.

And Levy highlighted his admiration for the Argentine, when writing his column for the Daily Mail, sharing a gift that he gave him as a sign of his appreciation:

“Mauricio wants this sense of achievement, this recognition, to be the main guy. And at this club, he can be the main guy. At some other clubs, the president is the main guy but that’s not how it is here. I’m so low key, I want him to be the main guy. Him. Sometimes it’s nice to be given something when you are not expecting it, like the Bentley I gave him as a sign of appreciation.”

It must be a major worry for Spurs fans that Pochettino could be lured by the riches and world class stars at either Real Madrid, Barcelona or Paris Saint-Germain over the next few seasons.

One thing that will be absolutely vital to Tottenham’s hopes of keeping hold of the 45-year-old will be for the current crop of stars to win major honours, and prove to the Argentine that he can achieve his ambitions in north London.

So only time will tell, but for now, Spurs fans will be hoping that a brand new Bentley will be enough to keep their impressive manager happy at the club.
