Tottenham are reportedly interested in Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

Leeds United's Kalvin Phillips in action during the Sky Bet Championship match between Leeds United and Wigan Athletic at Elland Road on April 19, 2019 in Leeds, England.

According to The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing up a move for Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

After Spurs raided Leeds once for Jack Clarke, the Championship side will not want to lose an even more important part of their side.

But how much do Leeds fans really need to worry about losing Phillips to Spurs, amid their £30 million valuation?

Deep squad

Tottenham’s midfield depth, a combination of established, veteran and young talent, means Phillips may not be a priority.

We don’t know for certain, but Tottenham’s midfield options mean Leeds fans don’t have to panic just yet.

New signing Tanguy Ndombele will play a crucial role this upcoming season for Spurs and is expected to be a regular.

Tanguy Ndombele of Tottenham Hotspur signs a contract at Enfield Training Centre on July 02, 2019 in Enfield, England.

Moussa Sissoko had the best season of his career last season and is expected to partner Ndombele.

England international Harry Winks is also set for a regular role. Dele Alli is pretty much a regular starter already, while if Christian Eriksen stays, he is in contention for a deeper role.

Eric Dier too will be competing for starts, along with former Southampton ace Victor Wanyama.

Last season 18-year-old Oliver Skipp broke into the Tottenham first team, and will want a more prominent role.

Even if Wanyama was to be sold, or Skipp loaned out, there would be no immediate need to spend £30 million or close to it on Leeds’ midfielder Phillips.
