The Tottenham Hotspur player is on loan at Marseilles and he has been talking about the lure of the Chinese Super League.

Tottenham Hotspur forward Clinton N’Jie has been speaking to the BBC about players making the move to the Chinese Premier League.

The Cameroon international is currently on loan at French club Marseille after a disappointing debut campaign at White Hart Lane.

It remains to be seen if he has played his last match for Tottenham, but whatever the future holds it is clear he does not see himself moving to China any time soon.

“Oscar is very young to go to China and I hope he comes back to Europe in the future to show his talents,” N’Jie told the BBC.

“I am 23 and the players I know in my age category are focused to play in Europe, for the pleasure of playing at the top level and competing for the top prizes.”

That is a clear indication of N’Jie’s feelings towards a league that is attracting plenty of famous names with the promise of riches previously unimagined for footballers outside the world-class bracket.

Whether or not N’Jie returns to Tottenham, the North London club’s fans are likely to applaud his feelings on players simply chasing the money.

This season he has turned out 13 times for Marseilles, scoring three goals in the process, and he is currently away with his country for their Africa Cup of Nations campaign.
