Could Leeds go in for Juan Foyth before the end of the transfer window?

Tottenham Hotspur held onto Toby Alderweireld this summer despite repeated speculation the Belgian would be sold in the summer.
The Belgian was valued at £55 million by Spurs and no team paid up to sign him, ensuring central defence is once again a strength of the club instead of an area for concern.
One loser from Alderweireld’s stay is Juan Foyth, whose chances this season took a major hit.

In an alternate reality, Alderweireld is sold, and Foyth assumes a prominent pre-season role and wins a starting place for the opening game of the season.
Instead he suffered a groin injury, missing their tour of America, and he is now back to being fourth choice, a role from which he made a total of zero Premier League starts last season.
Foyth was linked in the summer with a loan move to Leeds United, with Marcelo Bielsa attempting to sign him for Lille a year ago, Argentine outlet TyC Sports reported.

Foyth spoke to Fox Sports Argentina about the speculation in June, describing countryman Bielsa as a ‘great’ coach.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino played at centre-back under Bielsa, and could not look for a better option for his young protege to develop.
Leeds’ fantastic start to the season will only count in their favour when it comes to attracting loan additions, with centre-back still a big position of need.
If Foyth can recover from his injury before the end of the month, this is a deal which remains possible, with Alderweireld’s stay at Spurs keeping Leeds’ hopes alive.
