The Tottenham Hotspur defender was sensational against Borussia Dortmund.

Tottenham Hotspur full-back Ben Davies still had plenty of doubters heading into the new campaign, but his performance against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday evening will surely have silenced them once and for all.
The Welsh international was simply sensational for Spurs in their first Champions League group game of the season and one wonders just how Danny Rose is going to get back into the starting line-up when he returns from injury.

Still only 24, Davies has quietly and efficiently made his mark at Tottenham since arriving from Swansea City in 2014, but his latest performance was a statement of intent and proves just how far the Welsh international has come under the tutelage of Mauricio Pochettino.
As impressive as summer signing Serge Aurier was on the opposite flank for Tottenham, his fellow full-back was even better, following up his great showing against Everton with another to match against the free-flowing German side.

Tottenham won the clash 3-1, courtesy of a goal from Heung-min Son and a Harry Kane double, and while they had a huge slice of luck when Dortmund had a perfectly good strike ruled out for offside, the hosts played their way to a fine win.
Davies will be hoping to maintain this form for the foreseeable future and the longer he does the better Tottenham can hope to do as a result.
