Tottenham youngster Ismail Azzaoui speaks following hat-trick performance

Young Tottenham Hotspur player Ismail Azzaoui has revealed how it felt to score three times in a recent FA Youth Cup match.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Ismail Azzaoui has been speaking following his outstanding hat-trick performance in the FA Youth Cup on Monday evening.

The 16-year-old midfielder netted three times as Tottenham’s young side defeated their Blackburn Rovers counterparts 4-1 and he has since revealed how that felt.

Azzoui signed for Spurs from Anderlecht in August and is a highly-rated and exceptionally gifted player. He has also represented Belgium at under-15, under-16 and under-17 level so far.

In an interview with Tottenham’s official website, Azzaoui said, “I’m happy to get my first hat-trick for Spurs but everybody played well.

“It was a good game and a good performance from the team.”

Josh Onomah scored Tottenham’s other goal on the night but it was his teammate Azzaoui who stole the headlines and you can be sure the club’s fans will be keeping a very close eye on how the youngster develops.
