Tottenham Hotspur have loaned Anthony Georgiou out to Levante.

Tottenham Hotspur look unlikely to bring in any new signings before tonight’s transfer deadline, but one of their players has made a great move.
Spurs have allowed Georges-Kevin Nkoudou to join Monaco on loan, whilst striker Kazaiah Sterling has headed out on loan to Sunderland until the end of the season.
One fascinating move has seen winger Anthony Georgiou make a loan move too, joining La Liga side Levante until the end of the season.
Georgiou’s move may not grab any headlines, but it does represent a really great move for Spurs and for Georgiou himself.
The 21-year-old has made just one first-team appearance for Spurs, but has been a regular for the club’s Under-23’s over the years.
Georgiou, who has two caps for Cyprus, needs to be playing regular football at this age, and a loan move to a mid-table La Liga club should be perfect experience.

The move gives Georgiou a chance to sample football in Spain, before heading back to Spurs at the end of the season with a view to pressing for first-team football.
Mauricio Pochettino was essentially schooled in Spanish football, and learning in La Liga may set Georgiou up well for a future in the Spurs first team.
Whilst Sterling’s move to Sunderland is promising, a mid-table La Liga side coming in for Georgiou is a great sign of the quality he already has as well as his potential to improve, so Spurs fans should actually be excited about this loan move.
