Tottenham Hotspur’s much-anticipated documentary series is out, with the first three episodes now out on Amazon Prime.
The series documents Tottenham’s 2019-20 season, including Mauricio Pochettino’s sacking and the start of the Jose Mourinho era.
With 10 days to go until the start of the new Premier League season, it’s a great time for supporters to get stuck into this new series – and Tottenham fans have been given a glimpse into Mourinho’s approach.
Some fans will have spotted something during episode three, in which Mourinho was preparing his side to face Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux in December.
Spurs won that game 2-1 with a last-gasp Jan Vertonghen goal, and Mourinho had highlighted just how tough of a team Wolves are to face.
Mourinho (23:45) suggested to his squad in a pre-game meeting that Wolves are a physical, aggressive team that make the game uncomfortable at all times.
Mourinho picked out three players to emphasise this point, branding Matt Doherty and Jonny Castro ‘aggressive’ and winger Adama Traore ‘powerful’.

“This team is very aggressive. They press, they go into 50/50’s, they win duels, you can see the profile of the team, and it’s difficult. Doherty aggressive, Traore powerful, Jonny Castro bam, aggressive. Even if you are winning, and you think the game is under control, the game is comfortable, with this time it is not comfortable,” he added.
That’s now notable because Mourinho and Tottenham ended up signing Doherty from Wolves on Sunday, in a deal worth just £13.4million (Football.London).
Mourinho has clearly admired Doherty and his aggressive style for some time, and having now signed him for Tottenham, that line in the All or Nothing series will have pricked up the ears of some Spurs fans.
