Tottenham Hotspur host West Ham United on Sunday in the battle for a top-four place.

This weekend sees Tottenham take on West Ham, in what is sure to be a keenly-contested London derby.

Both sides have enjoyed strong starts to the campaign, and are currently competing for a top-four place on the back of their efforts.

They have both seen youngsters break through into the side and impress, with Spurs midfielder Dele Alli currently grabbing the headlines for club and country and Manuel Lanzini continuing to surprise for the Hammers.

But who has been the more impressive so far? We decided to take a look at the stats to find out.

And surprisingly, it’s a win for Lanzini as the Argentine comes out on top in six of the eight areas we looked at.

The Argentine takes fewer unsuccessful touches per game, and has won more dribbling contests per game, while he is also on top for goals.

The two are, however, level when it comes to on target scoring attempts per game, with a tally of 0.5.

Lanzini, though, comes out slightly on top when it comes to assists per game, although Alli has actually registered more on target attempted assists per game than Lanzini.

However, the West Ham man’s passing, on a whole, has been better, as he has registered more successful passes per game and more successful final third passes than the Tottenham star.

A narrow victory for Lanzini then, who will be hoping to be similarly successful this weekend as Slaven Bilic’s side look to overcome the loss of Dimitri Payet.
