The combined value of Tottenham Hotspur’s three most valuable players is in excess of £210 million, according to CIES Football Observatory.
The sales of Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and Dimitar Berbatov in the not too distant past suggest that Tottenham are a club who have been vulnerable to having their star assets poached, and that Daniel Levy is a man who will sell if the price is right.
Spurs may be a bit of a different animal now though. A Champions League team with title aspirations and playing in the richest league in the world, it would take an astronomical fee to prise any player Mauricio Pochettino wanted to retain away from White Hart Lane.
But who are Tottenham’s most prized assets? The CIES Football Observatory use factors such as club, age, contract length, the players performances and the spending power of the club/clubs likely to be interested in said player to calculate an estimated transfer value, and we take a look at who their statistics consider to be Tottenham’s most valuable trio.
Tottenham stars Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen
Unsurprisingly, Harry Kane comes out on top. Spurs are heavily reliant on their homegrown forward for goals, as highlighted by their recent drought in his absence. The England international has scored 59 goals in the last two seasons, winning the Premier League’s Golden Boot last season.
CIES value Kane at €110.8 million (£96.3 million), a considerably higher price tag than any other Tottenham player, and more than €10 million more than Spurs received when they sold Gareth Bale to Real Madrid, a world record fee at the time.
Kane’s price tag makes him one of the most valuable players in the Premier League, according to CIES, placing him ahead of the likes of Sergio Aguero and Eden Hazard, with only Paul Pogba commanding a higher estimated value.

Dele Alli comes in second. Aged 20 and with a contract that runs until 2022, it’s not hard to see how the Observatory have come up with a hefty price tag of €80.3 million (£69.7 million). If Tottenham were to sell Alli for that price, it would represent a £65 million profit in less than 2 years, having signed the midfielder from MK Dons for £5 million in February 2015.
Alli had an incredible debut season in North London, scoring 10 goals in 33 Premier League games as Spurs spent much of the season in a title race. The goal scoring midfielder has already won 15 caps for England and looks to have an exceptional future in the game.
Whilst Kane and Alli ranking in first and second is unlikely to surprise anyone, third place might, as Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen takes bronze. The former Ajax playmaker joined Spurs in 2013, and has since made almost 150 appearances and scored 32 goals.
Christian Eriksen is valued at €56.9 million
Eriksen’s age, experience and lengthy contract all contribute to him being valued ahead of the likes of Erik Lamela and Toby Alderweireld. The midfielder has been a popular figure at the Lane during his three years at the club, but has received criticism from some quarters this season.
The 24-year-old is valued by CIES at €56.9 million (£49.4 million), putting him narrowly ahead of former Sporting CP man Eric Dier (€52.4 million), who could have made it a trio of young, talented English players.
Other close contenders include Erik Lamela (€46.9 million) and Heung-Min Son (37.4 million), but the likes of Hugo Lloris, Toby Alderweireld and Mousa Dembele are all valued at significantly less than Son & co.

How much people ought to read into CIES’ valuations is up for debate, Tottenham fans may grow suspicious when they see Hugo Lloris valued at just €24.2 million, despite the Frenchman being almost 30 and out of contract in 2019, that valuation seems harsh.
The statistics mean that Harry Kane is valued at more than any player from Spurs’ North London rivals Arsenal, where Alexis Sanchez comes in first place at €84.8 million, whilst Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Eric Dier are all valued at more than Mesut Ozil, whose contract expires in 2018.
In terms of Tottenham prospects, Joshua Onomah is only valued at €6.9 million, Harry Winks just €2.3 million and Cameron Carter-Vickers is yet to receive a valuation, due to the 18-year-old having not yet made a first team league appearance for the club.
