The young Tottenham Hotspur defender has broken into the U23 side.

Tottenham Hotspur have some exciting prospects in their youth ranks and talented defender Jonathan Dinzeyi is very highly regarded within the club.

The centre-back made his debut for Tottenham U23s in the defeat to Everton recently and it is anticipated that he will receive further opportunities to impress at that level in the remainder of the campaign.

An imposing physical presence, Dinzeyi spent time as a winger when he was a schoolboy before becoming settled at centre-back, but he is now thriving in the latter position.

Dinzeyi made his debut for Tottenham U18s when he was still an U16 player and he is continuing to play above his age group, indicating that his development is going to plan.

Next season Dinzeyi will hope to establish himself as a regular in the U23s, while he will also be seeking to get back into the national team setup, having previously represented England at U18 level.

The 18-year-old is composed on the ball and unfazed under pressure, although he will be fully aware that he has still has some way to go before he can even contemplate making the step up to play for the club at first-team level.
