The midfielder has been very impressive for Tottenham this year

Harry Winks had already broken into the Tottenham Hotspur first-team towards the end of 2016, but this year the midfielder has really stepped up to be an important player for Mauricio Pochettino’s team.
Composed in possession and capable of setting the tempo for his side, Winks has also made significant improvements defensively and has developed very well under Pochettino’s guidance.

The 21-year-old will be looking to improve even further but he can reflect upon a year that saw him make the breakthrough into the England senior squad as he made his debut against Lithuania in October.
Winks will hope that he can command a place in the England squad for next summer’s World Cup in Russia and he is certainly capable of achieving that objective if he continues to impress for Tottenham.

This year Winks has demonstrated that he is capable of impressing in the Champions League, and he showed no fear when taking on European giants such as Real Madrid.
Winks has the potential to become a great for both Tottenham and England, and he will look to build upon a very encouraging 2017.
