Jermaine Jenas has told BT Sport that Tottenham ‘would take’ Wilfried Zaha this summer and he would also ‘improve’ a team like Everton.
Crystal Palace recorded a 1-0 win over Southampton in the first game of the Premier League season on Saturday, with Zaha scoring the only goal of the game.
The Daily Mirror did link Zaha with a move to Spurs in January, whilst the Sun previously claimed that Everton are looking to pounce for the versatile attacker this summer.
Former Spurs midfielder, Jenas, shared his thoughts on Zaha and he thinks he is good enough to play for a club in Europe, or a team trying to get there.
“Wilf Zaha needs to set some of his own challenges now,” Jenas told BT Sport. “I think one of his biggest problems in getting out of Crystal Palace is the numbers very high to buy him.
“People are looking at it thinking ‘how many goals does he score, how many assists & is he worth spending £60 odd million on?’”
“At the minute, everyone knows he’s a top player, but there’s that feeling of productivity element – I think he would [improve a top-six side] and I think he’d improve most teams.
On which top-six side would he suit: “I think Tottenham would take him. You can also look at teams trying to get into the top-six. Everton are a team trying to get into the top-six, he would improve them.”

It has to be questioned whether Spurs would have the money to buy Zaha given how much Palace would demand for their star man.
But a club like Everton, who have been splashing the cash once again this summer, clearly have the funds to buy the one-time Manchester United man.
Moving to Goodison Park might just be a good fit for Zaha because he would increase their chances of securing a European spot after years and years of trying.
