Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the highly-rated Frenchman.
Spurs are interested in signing £9 million-rated French youngster Yann Karamoh, according to the Sun, as Mauricio Pochettino looks to bolster his forward options.
Despite the fact that the Caen forward is incredibly talented, it could be argued that what Tottenham need now more than anything is established talent – the finished article, rather than a youngster who has the potential to become great.

The Lilywhites have made this kind of mistake in the past, with the likes of Georges-Kevin N’Koudou and Clinton Njie. Neither of those players have offered anything for Pochettino’s side, and the Argentine should look at them as examples of what can happen when you bring unproven foreign talent to the Premier League.
Karamoh can play through the middle as an out-and-out striker, or in the wide right wing role, and there is no way that he will offer anything more than Harry Kane or Son Heung-min – over the next 12 months anyway.
In order for Spurs to improve and go one step further than last season, they need to buy world-class quality. They need a player who can make the difference in the final third – one who possesses qualities that can offer something different to what they already have.
Someone like Riyad Mahrez, who is ready to take the Premier League by storm…now.
The problem for the north London outfit is that someone of the Leicester man’s ilk will cost in the region of £40 million, and Daniel Levy is nothing if he is not stringent with money.
And whilst the 19-year-old is an exciting prospect, he is not what Tottenham need at this moment, if they want to make true progress.
