The Tottenham Hotspur play-maker is far too important to the cause.

According to Spanish newspaper Don Balon, Barcelona will make a move for Tottenham Hotspur’s Christian Eriksen in January, but that is yet more transfer balderdash in an ever increasing pile from that particular outlet.
The prospect of Tottenham selling one of their best players midway through the season is laughable, especially when said player is fast becoming a superstar for club and country.

Eriksen’s outstanding showing for Denmark in their recent World Cup play-off spoke volumes for his progress, and next summer he is expected to hit new heights in Russia.
Similarly he can become one of Tottenham’s best ever play-makers and their chairman Daniel Levy will surely not sanction any talks, let alone a move, for a player who has quietly and effectively gone about his business ever since he arrived in North London from Ajax.
Don Balon loves Tottenham. Or more specifically they love printing transfer stories about Tottenham.

That is in no small part due to the impressive squad Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has built, but just because a club has a number of talented individuals, that does not mean their chairman will cash in at the first available opportunity.
Eriksen is going nowhere, and whoever does leave Tottenham next summer and beyond, it will only be in the best interests of the club.
