Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Stuttgart’s Benjamin Pavard.

Spurs were said to be considering an £11 million move for Pavard, but that sort of fee does not look set to be anywhere near enough.
Stuttgart director Michael Reschke has suggested that even a bid of £26.5 million would not be enough to continue to sell.

Reschke said to BILD: “If in the summer of a club believes they can sign him for €30m (£26.5m), this club is wrong. We would not even open the door for a conversation.”
Whether Pavard will be of interest to Spurs with such an inflated price-tag remains to be seen.
Tottenham have had a tendency to buy promising youngsters, but they have been reluctant to pay huge fees.
Pavard certainly seems to have a bright future, and he has impressed in the Bundesliga this term.

The 21-year-old has been a virtual ever-present in Stuttgart’s side, making 28 appearances for the German side.
Pavard’s impressive form has helped him earn two full international caps for France, with his reputation increasing.
If the defender was brought to Spurs, then he would have fierce competition for a first-team place, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side already having some of the strongest defensive options in England.
